The Oregon-Davis Junior/Senior High School Band Program consists of high school band, junior high band, and beginning band.

The high school band includes students in grades 9-12. This group performs top-level music literature throughout the course of the year at a variety of events. The band performs four concerts per school year, usually in October, December, March, and May. These students also began participating in parades in the fall of 2015. They participate in the Yellowstone Trail Fest Parade in August in Hamlet and the Falloween Fest Parade in Walkerton in September. The high school band has won awards at the Falloween Fest Parade, with it being a judged event. They won 3rd place in 2015, 1st place in 2016, and 2nd place in 2017. Many of the high school students also perform in honor bands, such as All-District Honor Band in Plymouth, All-Star Band in Terre Haute, and the Small High School Band Festival in Valparaiso.

The high school band also performs as the Bobcat Pep Band during basketball season, performing popular music at all home games, boys and girls, and they travel to tournament games when able. The Bobcat Pep Band is our most visible group to the community, as they have had the opportunity to play at IHSAA Sectionals, Regionals, Semi-State, and State boys and girls basketball tournament games. Sometimes the Bobcat Pep Band will also stand-in as a pep band to the Ancilla College boys and girls basketball teams.

The junior high band includes students in grades 7 and 8, and some students in grade 6. This group performs mid-level music literature throughout the course of the school year at the concerts mentioned above. Sometimes, advance junior high students even collaborate with the high school band on a piece of music performed at a concert. Many of the junior high students are also granted the opportunity to perform in the All-Region Honor Band at Kankakee Valley High School. Sixth grade students that started band in fifth grade get the opportunity to rehearse and perform with the seventh and eighth grade students.

The beginning band consists of fifth or sixth grade students, usually beginning right after Labor Day. In August, all fifth and sixth grade students are given the opportunity to witness the high school band do a “show and tell” the instruments of the band, and then a sign-up night is announced for when they can actually try out each instrument to pick which one they would like to play. The beginning band plays at two concerts during the school year; the Christmas Concert in December, and the Fine Arts Showcase in May.
